Save the date! The EC has announced that the 2015 Conference of Partners of the European Innovation Partnership on Active & Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) will be held in Brussels on the 9th (from 15:00 CET) and 10th December 2015 (all day). This year’s Conference of Partners is dedicated to the theme “Accelerating market uptake of active and healthy ageing innovation across Europe.”

The European Innovation Partnership is at a crucial stage of its development. The next months will determine the success of this endeavour. We want this Conference of Partners to generate an open discussion about the achievements so far and the future vision for the Partnership. And we want to re-energise our focus on accelerating innovation uptake and delivering tangible outcomes. 

The Scaling up Strategy, the Monitoring and Assessment Framework (MAFEIP) and the Support Action (PROEIPAHA) that have been established in the last years are all important components to support and guide the Partnership towards its 2020 targets.

 Programme 

With these components in place, complementing the tools and guidelines produced by the Action Groups and the expertise of the Reference Sites, this year’s Conference of Partners is about focusing on and accelerating delivery towards the 2020 targets.

In order to support large-scale deployment of innovative solutions for active and healthy ageing, the European Commission has launched a number of initiatives. These initiatives are linked to the Scaling up Strategy of the EIP on AHA. We will be discussing how to maximise the impact of some of these opportunities in the course of the Conference.

We also want to recognise and showcase those organisations that have excelled in deploying innovative solutions for active and healthy ageing. Regional and local organisations, academia, health and care organisations who have made significant contributions to large-scale deployment of innovation will be invited to present their experiences and share the outcomes of their investments.

The revamped EIP on AHA Portal and the Repository of Innovative Practices will be unveiled. We will also invite external speakers to explore new synergies with other EU and global initiatives on active and healthy ageing.
